This concerns procedures that are medical in nature and may only be performed by professionals with appropriate training and certification. Nursing procedures are crucial for the health and well-being of patients, because these actions contribute to the relief of complaints and the prevention of complications.  <\/p><h3>Types of nursing procedures<\/h3><p>There are many different types of nursing procedures that nurses perform to care for patients. The following are some common nursing procedures: <\/p><h4>Administering medication<\/h4><p>One of the most common nursing procedures is administering medication. Nurses have the responsibility to administer medicines in the right way, in the right dosage and via the right route of administration. It is very important that medicines are administered correctly, in order to minimize the risk of side effects and other health problems.  <\/p><h4>Wound care<\/h4><p>Wound care is another important nursing procedure. Nurses must be able to assess and care for wounds, in order to promote the healing process and prevent infections. This can range from cleaning a small cut to treating severe burns.  <\/p><h4>Oxygen administration<\/h4><p>Oxygen administration is a nursing act performed to improve the oxygen supply to a patient&#8217;s body. This may be necessary for conditions such as COPD, where the patient has difficulty breathing. It is very important that the oxygen supply is properly regulated and controlled in order to prevent complications.  <\/p><h4>Ostomy care<\/h4><p>Ostomy care is a nursing procedure that is performed on patients with a stoma. An opening is made in the abdominal wall, where the intestine or urethra is brought out. It is very important that the stoma is properly cared for to prevent infections and other complications.  <\/p><h4>Incontinence care<\/h4><p>Incontinence care is a nursing procedure performed on patients with a loss of urinary or fecal control. Nurses should be able to help the patient change incontinence pads and take appropriate hygiene measures to prevent infections and other complications. <\/p><h4>Infusion therapy<\/h4><p>Infusion therapy is a nursing procedure in which fluids and medicines are administered directly into the bloodstream. This can be done through an IV, where a needle is placed into a vein. Nurses must be able to properly apply and monitor the IV in order to prevent complications such as inflammation or bleeding.  <\/p><h4>Catheterization<\/h4><p>Catheterization is a nursing procedure in which a catheter is placed in the bladder to drain urine. This may be necessary for patients who cannot urinate independently, for example after surgery. It is very important that the catheter is inserted and cared for correctly to prevent infections and other complications.<\/p><h4>Tracheostomy<\/h4><p>Tracheostomy is a nursing procedure in which an opening is made in the trachea to facilitate breathing. This may be necessary for patients who cannot breathe independently, for example after surgery or in certain conditions. It is very important that the tracheostomy is placed and cared for correctly to prevent complications.<\/p><h3>Conclusion<\/h3><p>Nursing technical actions are an essential part of patient care.
