This is the question Jos van Leeuwen asked himself in 2015. As a former owner of a healthcare institution, it became increasingly clear to him how much attention the nursing skills component requires and planning training moments is a major logistical challenge due to divergent schedules of existing staff.

Not only with him but also with his colleagues. Surely there must be another way?

That’s how the idea CareUp: Virtual Learning Lab was born. A Virtual learning environment in which (future) healthcare professionals could practice independently of time and location.

Jos and Gijs (software developer) set to work together to shape this Virtual Learning Lab.

In recent years, CareUp has grown into a worthy learning method with which several schools and healthcare institutions train their students or train staff.

All modules are based on the nationally recognized protocols of Vilans that many organizations and schools use. So that everything fits in well with practice.

In addition, all actions are quality inspected by the independent third party V&VN. This also allows healthcare professionals to earn accreditation points to demonstrate their competence.

Although CareUp is still being expanded and improved every day, it was time for the next step.

Making CareUp also available in Virtual Reality

We are currently working on this and the first version is ready within VR.

We have always developed in collaboration with healthcare. We now want to do this again with our Virtual Reality version.

CareUp: Virtual Learning Lab is made for and by healthcare professionals!

Gijs and Jos have therefore decided to make the CareUp: Virtual Reality Modules available for FREE to schools and organizations that use CareUp: Virtual Learning Lab. This way we can develop a fantastic Virtual Reality experience together and shape the future of learning!
