Competence and competence of the caring IG
What is the authority of a caring IG’er?
A caring IG person does not have an independent authority to perform a reserved act, but they may perform them on behalf of a doctor or nurse specialist.
Competence of the caring IG
However, the caring IG person must be competent in performing this reserved action. The competence is partly derived from the diploma and must also always be kept up to date.
If necessary, a caregiver can register in the quality register of the V&VN. This keeps track of the competence of a healthcare professional. This way you can demonstrate your competence as a caregiver in a simple way.
Do you always want to be competent in performing the most common nursing procedures? With CareUp you can practice and test more than 20 reserved actions in a very accessible way.
If you pass a test, you will receive a certificate as a caregiver. You can add this certificate to your portfolio in the quality register. In this way, as a caring IG’er, you remain competent and you meet the requirement to keep your competence up to date!
